This January 27th between 9am and 12:30pm we are hosting our second health fair!! We have many wonderful sessions prepared for you by speakers joining us specifically to help guide you through all different kinds of health-related needs. We would love to see you there!

Our classes include topics such as:
Yoga, physical therapy, food, healthy eating, healthy cooking, rebellious wellness, pet health, spiritual health, mental health, senior care, addiction and suicide, Narcan training, and first responder mental health.
Plenary Speaker | Rev. Dr. Rich Hendrickson | Daily R.E.P.S: Behaviors and Habits for Life. We all need daily practices that fuel the four dimensions of our life. Working on our Relational, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual ways of being is critical in reaching and maintaining a healthy and balanced life. Dr. Hendrickson will share from his own experience as he speaks to the importance of practicing all four R.E.P.S. He will also offer practical examples for each area as we commit to living into our Relational, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual Health. |
Release and Relax Yoga Class | Peggy Koenitzer | This class is to introduce yoga poses and breathing techniques that are designed to enhance strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and relaxation. Learn to still the mind, becoming more centered and focused. Find peace in stressful situations, and also become more balanced in mind, body, and spirit. Participants should wear comfortable clothing (sweatpants or yoga pants), and no loose jewelry. Please bring either a yoga mat or a large beach towel. (I do have about 8 yoga mats that I can bring.) |
A Dietitian's Definition of Healthy Eating | Katie Clawges and Amanda Dieugenio | Description: In this class we discuss our definition of healthy eating based on research and experience. We will provide tips for well balanced nutrition and teach you how to make a healthy plate. This will include a presentation as well as a discussion, so bring questions! Snacks will be included. |
Grab-n-Go healthier meal prep options | Lelesi Samuels | This class will focus on busy individuals and families looking to eat healthier. Getting your mind and body ready for the spring could seem challenging, but with healthy comfort food, routine and discipline, you could be halfway there. |
Wellness Begins with YOU: Health Coaching and Intuitive Eating | Kathleen Rohm and Kathy Miller | Health Coaching encourages people to become the best version of themselves. We will meet you where you are and get you to where you want to be by creating insight that translates into action. This level of support encompasses all aspects of wellness and paired with the philosophy of intuitive eating; we offer the opportunity for sustainable behavior change. How you see yourself and food changes from uncertainty and apprehension to possibilities and empowerment. Join the rebellion against dieting and start living. |
Caring for Our Faithful Friends: Your Pet's Health | Robyn Steiner | This workshop will be in an open forum format so that we can discuss issues that are relevant to you and your pet. Dr Steiner's philosophy is to look at the patient from a "whole"-listic perspective, taking into account what best serves the needs of the patient. Dr Steiner has 31 years of experience in general practice, but has also studied alternative modalities such as acupuncture and chiropractic. Dr Steiner is a V'92 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, has trained at the Chi Institute in Reddick Florida, and is currently Chief of Staff at Cinnaminson Animal Hospital. |

Advances in Our Understanding of Mental Health - What Has Changed? | Cheryl Holladay | Research and sophisticated brain imaging capabilities have greatly increased our understanding of mental health and uncovered new ways of treating mental illness. Sigmund Freud, step aside! |
From "Aging and Grief" to "Hopefulness and Purpose." | Rev. Anthony Maimone | Getting older often comes with the experience of loss and needing to let go. Learn some practical ways for living with hope and with purpose. |
Healthy Coping Workshop | Hunter Schaefer and Katie Patrick | This interactive workshop will borrow from the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program with guided activities around identifying and managing depression in adults as well as safe usage of prescription and over-the-counter medications. We will highlight the linkage between physical and emotional health and how they interact within the Symptom Cycle. There will also be some group brainstorming around healthy coping strategies and the relationship of substance misuse and our ability to navigate life’s challenges. |
Introduction to Nasal Naloxone | Gunjan Patel and Brian Libetti | During this training we provide statistical information on Opioid overdoses within the state of NJ as well as those in Burlington County. We cover the dangers of Fentanyl as well as trends we are seeing in the use of new synthetic products that are being added to most narcotics that can prove lethal. We demonstrate the use of Nasal Naloxone and will be providing free Naloxone to those in attendance. We also provide a number of addiction resources throughout the County of Burlington. |
