FMC Missions: Making a Difference—Near, Far, and Everywhere in Between
At First Methodist Church of Moorestown, mission is who we are. Through generous giving and hands-on service, FMC is bringing hope to our neighbors, our nation, and our world.
Locally, we partner with ministries like the Camden Neighborhood Center, Eyes of Our Heart, and Seeds of Hope—supporting families, meeting practical needs, and showing up with compassion. We bundle diapers for the Makers Place diaper depot and UMCOR to the flood buckets. We support local food pantries monthly and dinners for the Attic Youth Center supporting LGTBQ+ youth.
One of the many things that the mission committee of First Methodist supports in its quest to Love God, Reach People and Serve All is paying the mission apportionments of the church. This includes the World Service Fund, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Global Ministries, Global Health Initiative, the Youth Service Mission Fund and more. These agencies are vital in the education of pastors, supporting missionaries around the world, medical programs like imagine no malaria, and HIV ministries, and social justice issues.
These ministries reflect one of the greatest strengths of the United Methodist Church: Connectionalism.
Connectionalism is the belief that churches are stronger together than they are alone. By sharing our prayers, gifts, and resources through our connection, we extend the ministry of First Methodist Church of Moorestown far beyond our local community -bringing hope, healing, and the love of Christ to people in our community, country and around the world.
Last year we assembled flood buckets to donate to UMCOR. These buckets were then distributed to people around the country suffering natural disasters and facing the daunting task of cleaning up.
Together we are answering Gods call and living out our mission to Love God - Reach People - and Serve all.

From bundling thousands of diapers to assembling disaster relief supplies, we turn faith into action. Nationally, we support ministries like Four Corners Native Ministry and send youth on life-changing trips like the Appalachia Service Project—where faith meets hard work and real impact.
Globally, we partner with churches and ministries in the Philippines, Brazil, the Middle East, and China—sharing Christ’s love and strengthening communities worldwide. And there’s a place for you. Whether serving, giving, or going, every act makes a difference.
Real impact. Real people. Real hope.
